Simple Stories Old School Mini Album

Hi everyone! Today, I'm over on the Simple Stories blog sharing my latest mini album using the cute new Simple Stories Old School Collection and a 4x6 inch Sn@p binder in black.

I wanted a small album that I could have for my son's school pictures K-8. This collection worked perfectly since the album is small and I only needed a few sheets of paper and stickers.

The 3x4 pocket pages are perfect for wallet size school photos!

The collection comes with some great 3x4 and 4x6 cards too!

A book like this will be fun to add to year after year. Thanks so much for letting me share it with all of you today!  Happy crafting!

Home Sweet Home Scrapbook Album

Hi Artsy Albums friends! I'm over on the Doodlebug blog today sharing my Home Sweet Home scrapbook / decor project I made for my latest Design Team Project. I created this mini album with waterfall pages using the Yankee Doodle Collection. I found a small stand to hang it on so I can display it anywhere. How cute!

Although you might think the Yankee Doodle collection is just for the 4th of July, it's also great for everyday home and family projects. I plan to leave this album sitting out all year long but ... it does look adorable displayed for Independence Day!

Everyone knows how crazy I am about the Odds and Ends that come with each collection and now I'm really loving the mini icon stickers too. They are such a fun size! Aren't the jars in the photo below adorable?!

More mini icon stickers above ... so CUTE!! And below, I have 2 flippies (aka flip-up cards) to tuck in extra photos. These flippies allow for 4 pics on this page instead of just one or two.

Gift Card Folder with Doodlebug Fairy Tales

Hey Doodlebug Friends! Today I'm sharing my latest Design Team project and this time it's a Pinterest inspired challenge. I found this black and gold folding mini album project on Pinterest and it inspired me to create something so fun and super colorful! 🌈🦄🧁  Take a look ...

Ta-daaaah!! It's a fun birthday gift card holder folder, lol! I used the Doodlebug, Fairy Tales Collection and I think the cover turned out really cute with the unicorn. What a perfect birthday present.

I love the mix of patterned papers and all the fun embellishments that get revealed as you unfold it. Then, open it all the way up and viola! Birthday goodies!

For my version, I simply replaced some of the photos with pockets. The gingham treat bags are perfect for tucking in gift cards, cash, or tickets to a fun event. The cute castle and unicorn clips (purchase here) are not only so stinkin' cute, but they hold the flaps down and keep the cash in!

This is a diagram for measurements that came with the original project ...

What you need to make this cute folder is one sheet of 12x12 card stock, some pattern paper, and some embellishments.
  1. Start by scoring the 12x12 card stock at 3.5", 4", 8", and 8.5".
  2. Rotate the paper 90 degrees to the left.
  3. Score again at 3" and 7.5".
  4. Trim out the areas shown in black on the Pinterest diagram above.

After the gift cards are removed, the birthday girl could still use this by adding photos to the pockets as a cute little keepsake! :)
