Hello! Recently, I found this Disney themed This is Our Happy Place Mini Album buried in my photos. It was a kit a few years back but for some reason, I never posted about it on the blog so I thought I'd share it today for a little inspiration. It makes a fun scrapbook for your vacation pictures of the happiest place on earth.
I made the album with two 6x8 inch black chipboard covers, 8 card stock pages, and 2 book rings (links below). Then, I decorated it with the Simple Stories Say Cheese III Collection. Since a lot of the Say Cheese collections are very similar, you could mix and match them.
On the front cover, I cut the Mickey ears out of red card stock and used one of the 4x6 inch title cards at the bottom. Then, I added the star and castle chipboard stickers, a few colorful enamel dots, and the "memories" sticker from the 12x12 sheet.
Inside, I covered the pages in cute pattern papers and created some fun, space-saving interactive elements. I added 6 pockets, 5 flippies, 3 fold-out pages, and space for 40 photos. So many goodies!
The album starts with a pocket that I made with one of the 4x6 vertical cards. I embellished the front with a ticket die cut and some enamel dots then tucked a few journaling cards / photo mats inside.
This fold-out page would be great for pictures with your favorite Disney characters, or ... your crazy family and friends, lol. Either way, the "what a bunch of characters" die cut works 😂
On the front of the flap, I created a flippie out of black cardstock and a 4x4 card. I used an EK Success punch for the little Mickey Mouse shape, then added the journaling die cut and two yellow enamel dots.
Inside the flap ... I added these colorful papers and made a photo mat with another fun star-filled print.
On the page above, I created a pocket that opens on the side and added a photo mat to the front. Then I tucked a card inside for 2 pictures. I notched the corners and added a red Mickey Mouse shape to the edge for a cute detail.
Above is a larger pocket page. On the front, I made a scalloped circle journaling spot using the round "smile" die cut and a Marvy Uchida punch. Then, I added the chipboard camera sticker and a blue enamel dot.
Are you a fan of the princesses? Do you love the classic characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Donald Duck, Pluto, and Goofy? Or, are you into the villains? With so many fun ones to choose from, it's hard to pick a favorite but the pocket page above would be perfect for your memories of meeting them.
The pockets are also great for saving memorabilia like character autographs, tickets, room keys, brochures, park maps, receipts, or stickers.
On this page, I added two 4x4 cards. I used the yellow "Best Day Ever" card in the background and made a black flip-up card (flippie) with the "Memories" one. Then, I embellished with a few Mickey Mouse punched shapes.
I hope this Disney themed mini album gives you a little inspiration for saving your memories of the theme parks. I've added the product links below for reference. Have a wonderful day and happy scrappin'! 😊
