Hey crafty friends! It's National Scrapbook Day and our "You Are My Sunshine" Virtual Scrapbook Event begins at 9am! 🎉🥳🪇 I'm so excited! I know it's going to be a great afternoon and I hope everyone has fun creating something wonderful. Earlier this week, Doodlebug asked the Design Team Members to make a project celebrating NSD today, so ... I created two 12x12 layouts with a happy spring theme!
I designed these pages with the beautiful Butterfly Kisses Collection that's perfect for highlighting your photos of family, friends, Easter, spring, Mother's Day, any day, every day, and ... summer memories!🌞
To make these, I started with Doodlebug's pistachio solid card stock as the base and layered the 12x12 Happy Thoughts stripe, the Petite Prints Candy Stripe - Sprinkles in lemon, and white card stock on top.
Next, I divided the white space into sections and made photo mats out of the Petite Prints Candy Stripe - Sprinkles in citrus, the Rainbow Skies print, and solid card stock in bubblegum (links below).
At the top, I added the ladybug die cut from the Odds & Ends and the "Happy" and tab stickers from the This & That sheet. The pretty yellow butterfly in the middle is a die cut from the Bits & Pieces and I popped it up with some foam tape so it looks like it just landed on the page!
In the bottom right corner, I added a colorful journaling card from the 12x12 Garden Gingham paper and an adorable smiling frog icon sticker. I love his sweet little face! The "You & Me" are die cuts from the Chit Chat and the flowers with the butterfly is a die cut from the Bits & Pieces.
For the second page, I used the pistachio solid card stock as the base and half of the 12x12 Happy Thoughts striped paper. I added the Petite Prints Candy Stripe - Sprinkles in lemon to the other half and adhered the This & That scalloped border sticker down the middle (links below).
The white card stock came next, then 3 more photo mats and the beautiful Bits & Pieces butterfly die cuts. In the center, I added a strip from the 12x12 Happy Hoppers paper and notched a triangle out of both ends. I love the flower paper I used for the last photo mat. It's the 12x12 Garden Party print and it's soooo pretty!
Finally, I created a sweet little scene in the bottom left corner with the window and sun die cuts from the Odds & Ends and a tiny cloud sticker from the mini icons (links below).

I hope today's layouts inspire you to create something wonderful! Have a fun, creative, and fabulous National Scrapbook Day! 😊
