Hello everyone! Today is National Christmas Card Day! ’Tis the season for spreading cheer and sending joyful greetings. Are you someone who loves the tradition of sending out Christmas cards? They can be a lovely way of staying close to family and friends. So, with that in mind ... I made a few myself!
I designed these pretty cards with the new Pinkfresh Collection called Holiday Magic and I just love these colors. They're my favorite!
For all 3 of my cards, I used white card stock as the base and layered on two 12x12 prints from the Holiday Magic collection. They're called Holiday Vibes (icy blue paper) and Merry & Bright (grey & white gingham).
I added 2 strips of
Bazzill red card stock to the front of this card so it resembled a present. Then I chose a few die cuts from the ephemera and finished it off with a some tiny red gems (links below).
For my next card, I punch a 3.5 inch scallop circle out of white paper with a Marvy Uchida Clever Lever Extra Giga Punch. I know, that's a lot of names but I love this tool! I cut that into 2 pieces, then chose the pretty Joy and present filled sleigh to decorate the front.
For some winter sparkle, I added a row of Mark Richards clear crystals across the top and bottom. Then I sprinkled a few individual ones here and there to look like falling snow. So pretty.
This last card might be my favorite. I wanted a peek through window on this one so I cut a circle out of my white card using the Photoplay #9 Circle Windows Die Set. Then I cut a pretty scalloped circle out of red paper using the Echo Park Eyelet Circle die set. It was a tiny bit larger so it layered perfectly on top. Next I added 2 thin strips of the blue Holiday Vibes paper down either side and 2 more rows of crystals.
For the inside, I used the red eyelet circle shape that I cut from the cover piece. I added the beautiful round "25" die cut from the ephemera and BOOM ... I was done!
I created three pretty cards that I can't wait to send out AND I had fun making them! It was a good day here at Artsy Albums! I hope you have fun making some cards this holiday season and happy crafting 😍
