Brand new kit! Let's Go Travel Album with Simple Stories

Happy Friday friends!  I have a brand new kit for you today and this one is perfect for your summer travel memories!  I used the brand new Simple Stories Open Road collection and a mint binder from Doodlebug.  Let's take a peek inside!

I love the colors in this collection and the fun travel icons.  There are mountains, cars, a cute little gas tank, a USA map, and even a little travel bucket list for documenting all the places you visit.

The album has 20 pages (10 double sided) with 2 fold-out pages, 2 pockets for saving travel brochures, tickets, maps, and other fun memorabilia, 5 flippies, and space for 55+ photos.

There is space for journaling the details of your trip, and this Explore card flips up to reveal space for two more photos!

This scrapbook would be awesome filled with memories from one big vacation, or you could also add photos from several smaller trips.  The album comes with 5 chipboard dividers, so the trips could easily be separated.

This album can be assembled in a couple hours, or less :) and is so much fun to put together!  Take the kit to a crop or a retreat and make packing for the event so much easier!  All of the pages are pre-designed, pre-cut, and the kit includes full-color step by step instructions.  Visit my shop today to get your Let's Go Travel kit before they sell out!

Color Me Crafty Mini Album With Doodlebug

Hi Doodlebug friends! It's Traci and I'm so excited to be sharing my Color Me Crafty project with you today!  This brand new collection is so bright and fun, and I caught myself smiling the entire time I was making my mini album!

For this mini, I used one of my 4.5" x 6.5" Tall acrylic albums in white.  I used the 6x8 paper from the collection and several of the card sheets.  For the cover, I added the adorable plaid (Perfectly Plaid) paper to the front and layered an acrylic bracket that fits the Crafty Life sticker perfectly.  A camera from the Odds & Ends, and the Tools of the Trade Doodle-Pops finished up my cover.  So cute!

I love the little polaroid photos that are in the Odds & Ends pack so I had to add them to the first page ... and the green tab is from the Bits & Pieces pack -- adorable!

For the pocket in my mini, I used the light sprinkle paper (Happy Dots) so that everything I tucked into the pocket would pop with color.  I tucked in some of the larger Odds & Ends, and one of the 3x4 cards, and finished this page with the Crop title from the Chit Chat.

I just love this page.  The stripe is so colorful and then that die cut cluster at the bottom of the page is too cute!  I added another tab from the bits & pieces to this page and love how the album looks with all of them lined up down the side.

To highlight this 3x4 card, I used pop dots to add a die cut coffee cup over the one printed on the card.  It given the card some dimension and the pretty flower and leaves (Garden of Color Shape Sprinkles) give the card some shine.

Isn't this colorful page fun?  I used more Chit Chat pieces here and can't wait to tuck a fun crafty picture behind the embellishments.

One of the last pages in my album is another pocket.  The die cut that I tucked inside is one of my favorites ... it looks like an open 6x8 scrapbook album!  I think I'll add a small photo to the back :).

Well that's my project for today and I hope it inspires you to create something fun with the new Color Me Crafty collection!  I'll try to post a flip-through on my socal media pages soon!

NEW! Fourth Of July Scrapbook Album Kit

Hey crafty friends! It's time for a peek inside this week's NEW Fourth Of July Mini Album Kit that will be in my shop on Friday. It's filled with Doodlebug's patriotic cuteness and will highlight all your photos of a parade, a weekend festival, a neighborhood party, backyard BBQs, an afternoon on the lake, picnics in the park, biking, outdoor games, fun at the beach, boating, and those amazing fireworks.

I designed this with my Acrylic Mini Album 5"x4.5", but used red acrylic for the covers for a festive new look. Then, I decorated it with 2 different Doodlebug Design collections - Hometown USA and some leftovers from Land That I Love. They go perfectly together and the result is ahh-dorable!

On the front cover, I chose this sweet
Fourth Of July sticker as the title. For dimension, I added a matching acrylic shaped piece behind it. If you look closely, you can see its clear acrylic edges sticking out from behind it. This and the sticker's metallic trim make this fun shape really stand out.

Here's another angle where you can see the dimension of the layers on the cover. And check out all the pages this little album has! I can't wait to fill mine with our fun weekend pictures.

Just inside the cover, I added a flippie with space for 2 photos. The cute airplane, the American flag, the fireworks, and all the tiny polka dots look great against this red background. Don't you think?

The album has 20 scrapbook pages (10 double-sided) that include 2 pockets, 2 fold-out pages, 6 flippies, and space for 33 small photos (small photos are SO cute!!). Above is one of the fold-outs and when you open it ...

Here's another one of the fun little flippies. These are so great for adding extra space for photos or notes to small scrapbook layouts.

Check out all the fun pattern papers on this pocket page. I mixed polka dots and stripes, then added lots of colorful journaling cards to the pocket. Some even have cute scalloped designs on them! L❤️VE.

This fold-out with its round Popsicle sticker was super "sweet" (lol), but it still needed a little more. So, I added a row of blue gems down the side for some sparkle!
