Hey Cupcake Birthday Mini Album with Doodlebug

Hey guys! It's time for my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project and this one is just adorable. I made a Happy Birthday Mini Album that looks like a colorful present with a big bow. It's such a cute keepsake for photos of a celebration, family and friends, decorations, fun activities, and ... the yummy cake!

I designed this with the Hey Cupcake Collection that has beautiful colors, balloons, gifts, cupcakes, flowers, a pinata, and candy. It also has the cutest animals like kitty cats, birds, a hedgehog, and a ... pink llama!!

On the cover, I made a bow, using a Lori Whitlock cutting file called 3D Bows and the Petite Prints Dot and Stripe in swimming pool. I added a Pink Strawberry Braddies to the center and a little tag made with the All Occasion Doodle Cut Mini Tags and the Birthday Girl Stamps Set (product links below).

But, the star of the show are the Doodle-pops! How stinkin' cute are they? I love the layers and shine they add to the cover. They're called Birthday Girl and Party Llama. Lol! ... party llama 😂

Inside, I covered the pages with colorful pattern papers from the 6x6 pad. On this layout, I added a flippie that I made with one of the 3x4 cards from the 12x12 Birthday Bash paper. And there's the cute little hedgehog!

Above, I created another flippie but this time I used a dark pink card from the Hey Cupcake Assortment Cards and Envelopes. I added the plaid and white card stock on top, then decorated with icon and This & That stickers. Inside, there's room for 2 photos.

Next, I made a fold out page using the colorful striped paper and a pink sprinkle pattern. I matted the round Happy Birthday This & That sticker with scalloped and circle punched shapes, then added a pink jewel.

Open the fold-out and you'll see ...

... this fabulous little cake icon sticker with a cute strawberry on top. I added a white photo mat, the Let's Celebrate die cut from the Chit Chat, and two banner pieces I cut from my scraps.

Here's a great way to add extra storage to a mini album. I punched holes down the side of an orange envelope and added it to the binder like another page. You can save all kinds of goodies in it. Then on the back, I added a white photo mat and more icon stickers. Hello cute little animals!

How FUN is this mini album? I love the idea of having an entire album dedicated to a birthday celebration. It would be great for a birthday party, a weekend getaway filled with fun activities, or a special year when someone turns 16, 21, 30, or 50! It would also make a fantastic gift idea.

A pocket is a great place to save extra photos, notes, or memorabilia like ... an invitation, birthday cards, tickets to an event, a small piece of gift wrap or the tag from a special gift, or a brochure from an activity.

I love a scalloped edge ... it just feels girly! So here, I trimmed the llama paper with border stickers from the This & That sheet and made my own embellishment. I used a scalloped punch and a circle punch for the shapes, then added some "sweet" icon stickers. The sentiment is from the Chit Chat (links below).

So ... what do you think? Isn't the Hey Cupcake Collection fun and cute and colorful and fabulous?! LOL! I love it and I hope my Happy Birthday Mini Album gives you a little inspiration for saving your birthday memories. I've added the product links below. Thanks for visiting the blog and have a scrappy day! 😊

So Sweet Layout Cutting Tutorial, Bella Blvd

Hi everyone!  Today I want to share a new layout with you and give you a few quick tips on how to create a circle background with a cutting machine.  I used lots of cute Bella Besties paper and a Silhouette Cameo machine.
Bella Blvd, Squeeze the Day, Bella Besties

I started by creating random circle shapes in the silhouette software. I made sure to leave a bit of space between them.

Once I had all the circles where I wanted them, I highlighted them and selected the offset tool. I adjusted the offset to 0.2 and hit apply.

Finally, I used the knife tool to shave off the parts of the circles that overlapped my mat.

I could have used my cutting machine to also cut out all of the Bella Besties pattern circles, but I had enough sizes of regular circle punches so I used those to save some time.

I used both 12x12 and 6x6 papers for some contrast in the patterns.

Finally, I adhered letters from the Squeeze the Day chipboard for my title, and cute strawberries from the ephemera and epoxy icons.  I can't get enough of the Bella Bestie solid papers! Thanks for letting me share my layout with you!

Birthday Scrapbook Albums For Girl & Boy

Hello Friends! I have the cutest Girl & Boy Birthday albums to share with you! They were designed with 2 adorable Doodlebug Design collections & they make wonderful keepsakes for your fun celebrations! Take a look ...

To purchase the instructions to make this album visit:

I created this pink version with Doodlebug's, Hey Cupcake collection. I just love the colorful papers and the playful embellishments!

The kitty cat, the presents, the sprinkling confetti and that pretty pink, super girly cake with flowers makes such a pretty cover.

This album is 7"x 6.25" and it's perfect for any birthday event whether it's a party, an afternoon with friends, lunch or dinner or a small gathering at home. Save photos of friends & family, the colorful decorations, fun activities, gift opening and the cake!

Both albums have interactive fold outs for added space and a pocket for birthday cards, notes or extra photos.

This would make a special handmade gift for your daughter, your granddaughter or a best friend. Instead of a toy, clothes or a gift card ... this would be something they'd keep forever.

It would also be a wonderful project to make together. That's a win for both of you!

This album has 12 pages (6 double-sided) and can fit over 20 photos.

To purchase the instructions to make this album visit:

The blue version is equally as cute with lots of puppy dogs, monkeys, stars and birthday wishes scattered throughout!

For this scrapbook, I used the Doodlebug's, Party Time collection. It is similar to the girl collection but uses different animals and color scheme.

I love the color combination of blue, teal, green, yellow and orange. A bit more masculine but still bright, happy and colorful!

Boys enjoy being artistic and crafty too so this is a great project to create with your son or grandson. They can help decide where the stickers go and which photos to use. Quality time spent together talking and laughing!

Maybe you know someone who's having a dog themed birthday party. This would be just perfect.

Update: These kits have sold out but the instructions are available in my shop. They are simple, step-by-step, and include full color photos of each page. Links for the instructions and the products used are below. Happy scrappin'!

I've also included the links for my Birthday Boy and Girl 12x12 Layout Instructions as well. Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping!

12x12 Disney Road Trip Scrapbook Layout

Hey guys! With the pandemic upon us, most of us aren't doing a lot of traveling. But, I have plenty of travel photos from past road trips that I haven't scrapbooked yet. Plus, now that we're at home so much we can take advantage of some crafting time! I had lots of fun creating this 12x12 layout using I❤️Travel.
Disney Road Trip 12x12 Scrapbook Layout by Artsy Albums
I love all the adorable die cuts that came in the Odds & Ends, Tags, and Chit Chat.  It was really hard for me to choose which ones to use because they're all so cute! That little sunshine kills me! It's perfect for a Disney trip in sunny Florida.

Disney Road Trip Scrapbook Page Layout with car, sunshine, and suitcases

Wow, so clearly I need my contacts adjusted!  I had no idea that my cute little swirly border from the This & That sticker sheet didn't get lined up correctly.  Oh well, handmade isn't suppose to be perfect right? :)

Isn't that tiny little camera adorable!? He's a shape sprinkle from "picture perfect", and those colorful suitcases are the "pack your bags" Doodle-pops.
