Wizard Harry Potter Themed Scrapbook Album

Calling all Potterheads! My wonderful "Wizard Memories" Album is a Harry Potter themed scrapbook and it's certain to put a spell on you!  If you or someone you know loves all things Harry Potter, witchcraft, wizards, magic or has visited Universal Studios, then check this out ...

This 6x8 inch album was created with a magical collection called Wizard World designed by Becky Fleck for Photoplay and ... a black Simple Stories binder album.

It's perfect for your favorite photos and mementos from a trip to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, a fun Halloween, a birthday party or Comic-con.

You'll love the 9 interactive folding elements this album has including fold-out pages and fun flippies like the page above. The right side (with the tie printed paper) folds out and there's a little flippie inside!

There are 4 great pockets for saving your theme park photos, movie tickets, costume pics, brochures, park maps and any other magical memory!

It has 16 scrapbook pages (8 front and back) and there is space in this album for at least 50 photos. That's a lot of great adventures to save!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today and happy scrappin! 💕

Christmas Gift Card Holder Album with Doodlebug

Hey guys! 'Tis the season for gift giving and gift cards are always a popular choice. So for my Doodlebug Design Team Project, I created a cute gift card holder that makes giving them a little more special. It's a 4x6 inch folded tag album with 5 pockets that could hold different gift cards, cash, notes from Santa, photos, or tickets to something fun!

I designed this with white cardstock and the adorable Christmas Town Collection. I used lots of pretty pattern papers, die cuts from the Odds & Ends, enamel dot sprinkles, some jelly clips, and a cute "Do Not Open" sticker from the This & That sheet.

I love the little buildings in Christmas Town, so I adhered one to the front of each pocket. It reminds me of a cute little shopping village! The papers I used for the pockets are from the 6x6 paper pad.

I have included a DIY cut/score guide in this post. The page above with the cute tree is the back of "page I" (and the first page you see when you open the cover) The front cover of the album is the back of "page A".

DIY Guides:
For this project, I used two sheets of 12x12 white card stock cut each to 8x12 inches.  I scored each piece at 4" and 8", and then 2" up across the bottom to create a fold for the pockets.

After making your score lines, use scissors to cut out the pocket section (F) of page C.  Now adhere the back of page G to the front of page C.
Once you have the pages adhered, fold them up together and make two cuts at the corners.  Cutting the corners together will ensure they are all the same angles when the album is folded.  Before cutting mine, I measured over 1" and down 1" and marked my cut line to get them symmetrical.

Once the white card stock portion of your album is cut and scored, adhere the pattern papers to the front and back of each little section or "page".  The paper should be cut to 3 3/4" x 5 3/4".  After adding the backgrounds, adhere the flaps up on the right and left sides to create 5 pockets across the album. The pattern paper for the pocket fronts should be 1 3/4" x 3 3/4".

This was a really fun project and it comes together pretty quickly. Let me know if you decide to make one! We'd love to see it so please share on social media and tag us @doodlebugdesign and @artsyalbums!

Hi crafty friends!  Welcome to Lori Whitlock's December Blog Hop! My blog is the first stop on the hop, so be sure to hop back over to Lori's site too, because she has some goodies for you ... a sale, a giveaway, and a cute freebie!

For my project, I created some adorable gift card holders. Gift cards are always a popular gift, so why not make them even more fun by tucking them into a handmade card!

That pretty snowflake paper in the background is from the Echo Park, Celebrate Christmas Collection (link below). It's also designed by Lori and it's so pretty!

How cute is this gift card holder?! It's made with one of Lori's cutting files called Santa Chimney Gift Card Holder (link below).

You pull Santa's feet out of the chimney to reveal the gift card! 😂

The next one is in the shape of a gift box and it was made with Lori's file called Christmas Present Gift Card Holder (link below).

The front lifts up to reveal a pocket with a special surprise tucked inside! Well that's fun!

There are lots more fun, inspiring projects to see today, so be sure to hop to each blog!  Your next stop is Kathy's site!

My winter memories with Freezin Season by Simple Stories

Hey friends! It's been quite cold here in Georgia for this time of year. Based on the weather the last few days, it seems like we skipped fall and went straight into winter! So with chilly temperatures on my mind, I decided to create some pocket pages with my own photos from recent years.

Winter Scrapbook Album with Simple Stories Freezin Season Collection

I used the Simple Stories, Freezin' Season Collection and I love the colors in this one so much!! That touch of pink with the aqua and teal work well with my photos even though those colors aren't in my pictures. I also used the 6x8 Sn@p binder album (in robin's egg stripe) since it coordinated so well with this line.

Since I have a lot of photos, I added a folded card (4"x8", scored at 4") and slipped it into one of the 4x4 plastic sleeves.  This gave me space for an extra photo and a fun 4x4 phrase card.

I used another folding card (6"x8", scored at 4") on the layout above. I adhered a 4x6 element card to the front, and a journaling card and photo inside.

Stickers from the 4x6 sticker pack were perfect for adding tabs, phrases, and snowflakes throughout the pages.

I also added in some journaling spots and cute die cuts from the Bits & Pieces package.  I hope I've inspired you to document your winter memories. Have fun and stay warm!
