Christmas House Shaped Acrylic Scrapbook Album

Hey guys! It's that time again when I get to share my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project. Today, I have a house shaped acrylic Christmas album titled Merry and Bright, and ... great news!! The white acrylic album is now in my shop! Below, I share each page that I designed with Doodlebug's adorable Gingerbread Kisses Collection so you can recreate it yourself. I think you're going to have fun with this one!

Christmas House Shaped Scrapbook by Artsy Albums

This white acrylic album is like the black one that I created for my Boo Crew Album. It's another fun project that's great for your Halloween photos.

For the cover, I used the Cookies for Santa sprinkle paper on the roof and the Christmas Jammies polka dot below. I separated them with 2 scalloped borders stickers from the This & That sheet, then added a die cut from the Chit Chat and some shiny enamel shape sprinkles. (All product links below.)

Christmas House Shaped Scrapbook Album with gingerbread, candy, & a pretty wreath

Every house needs a welcoming front door with a pretty Christmas wreath. Check ✔ and check ✔.  I used a tag from the Bits & Pieces, die cuts from the Odds & Ends, and some enamel dots for the doorknob and the wreath's ornaments.

Inside, I covered the first page in the pretty Berry Floral paper, then added a photo mat, the candy jar die cut, and a flippie made with a cute 4x4 card.

On this page, I used a piece of limeade card stock for the background and embellished with more die cuts. I love that "sweet" little gingerbread house.

Who says pink isn't a Christmas color? I think it's fabulous and absolutely love it. I also love the Baking Spirit Bright print I used on these photo mats. So many cute little Christmas images. And ... check out the tiny peppermint sprinkle I added to the gift!

The die cuts from the Bits & Pieces are great for journaling so I included the clipboard on this page. It's perfect for a few notes, dates, or names. I also added 2 tiny enamel hearts and a cute round die cut from the Chit Chat to help break up all those rectangular shapes.

Well, hello Santa! He's so cute with his Ho Ho Ho banner and he fit perfectly into that odd space.

Christmas House Shaped Scrapbook Album made with a Doodlebug Design Collection

I created this mini album with pages that have a layered look and vary in size. That way you can see lots of Doodlebug's amazing papers and die cuts, on multiple pages all at once!

Here, I made another interactive flippie with lemon card stock, the 6x6 Deck the Halls print, and a gingerbread house sticker from the This & That. So cute!

This last page is my favorite. So many fun things to look at! The patterned paper, Santa peeking out from behind the photo mat, the mini icon train stickers, and ...

... the Deck the Halls Doodle-pops! That little Christmas tree is amazing with its enamel dots (I mean ornaments!) and tiny 3D presents. Love, love, love!!

I hope you'll give this Merry & Bright Album a try with my custom white house shaped acrylic album and the wonderful Gingerbread Kisses Collection. Happy holidays and happy crafting!

Gingerbread House Card - December Blog Hop with Lori Whitlock

Hello everyone! Today is Lori Whitlock's December Blog Hop and my blog is the first stop on the hop. But be sure to visit Lori's site too because she has a sale and more great products for you!

It's also National Gingerbread House Day, so ... I decided to make a Christmas card using one of Lori’s fun new files called 5x7 Insert Card House. I decorated it like the sweet treat and I think it turned out pretty cute!

Christmas Gingerbread House Card made with a Lori Whitlock cutting file

To start, I cut out all the pieces with my Silhouette machine. I used white cardstock for the base and paper from a collection Lori designed for Echo Park called Have A Holly Jolly Christmas (links below).

Christmas Gingerbread House Card pieces

I used the 6x6 paper pad. The house was Cookie Stockings, the roof was the Dashing Deer stripe, and the door and window sills were the green Jolly Snowflakes. I also added a few 12x12 solids in red and green.

Christmas Gingerbread House Card Tutorial

I cut the file out 3x in different papers to create the separate pattern pieces, then snipped out
the individual shapes. I inserted the red background piece and layered the house and the roof shapes onto the white base.

To embellish, I chose the bow, holly, and gingerbread cookie stickers from the 12x12 sheet, the Happy Holidays die cut from the Frames & Tags Ephemera, and some pretty red enamel dots. The scalloped border sticker is from the Doodlebug Design, Gingerbread Kisses Collection.

Here is the cutting file that I used ...

I hope you'll give this wonderful card a try. It was super easy and such a fun project to make! There are more inspiring projects to see today, so ... be sure to hop to each blog for more great ideas!

Stenciled Christmas Holiday Card and Tag

Hey guys! Today is National Christmas Card Day so, I thought I'd share a pretty card that I made this week for the holiday. I put this together in less than 5 minutes with some basic solid paper, a stencil, ink, and a few embellishments. Seriously, it was so simple and quick.

Stenciled Christmas Card & Tag by Artsy Albums

I started with the stencil by Gina K Designs called Harvest Flourish (links below) and a piece of white card stock that I cut to 6x6.

Stenciled Christmas Card with leaf pattern

I used a blending brush (also by Gina K Designs) and 3 colors of ink by PinkFresh called Grassy Knoll, Key Lime, and Olive. I layered the inks from light to dark and blended until I got the soft variation I wanted.

Stenciled Christmas Card with a leaf pattern in shades of green ink

Pretty, right?! Next, I cut the 6x6 sheet down to my card size (A2 4.25x5.5) for the panel on the front. I layered that on top of a sheet of Bazzill Kiwi Crush and then to my card base made of Bazzill Marshmallow.

Stenciled Christmas Card & Tag by Artsy Albums

When I cut down the panel for my card front, I had a bit left over so I made a cute tag with it.

I added some red glitter enamel dots by Doodlebug Design, then finished off the card with the Joyful Blessings sentiment from Pinkfresh's Holiday ephemera set. Voila! A quick and beautiful handmade card.

Happy Friday my friends! We're inching closer to Christmas and 2024. I can't believe how fast this year has passed. It's crazy, but the New Year means new memories ... starting New Year's Eve! That's a really long time and aaaaa lot of celebrating.

So, in keeping with that time worn tradition let's celebrate the new year in style and save our holiday memories in this week's Happy New Year Album! It's perfect for your photos or as a fabulous hostess gift.
