I designed these with the Echo Park, Good To Be Home Collection. It has pretty jewel-tone colors, lots of flowers, houses, hearts, and cute items you'd find in the kitchen. 

I love this patchwork heart. Nothing says home more to me than a cozy quilt and that's what this reminds me of. I thought it was perfect for this layout kit.

You can add almost any photo to these pages. Add memories like family dinners, creating new recipes in the kitchen, enjoying wine with friends, movie night or game day, a celebration, or a visit from the grandlittles.

Home is where your story begins and these 12x12 pages can help you tell that story. They will make a beautiful addition to any album!

Merry and Bright Scrapbook Instructions

This holiday collection has gingerbread cookies, wrapped presents, mugs of hot cocoa, candy canes, gingerbread houses, snowflakes, wreaths, Christmas trees, and Santa Claus. See him waving hello?

I used a limited edition 6x8 Simple Stories binder in lime and added a rainbow of colors and a sled full of goodies to the cover. It's so "merry & bright"! 😉

The first page is made with a sprinkle acetate. The transparency is such a fun surprise when you open the cover. You can add photos to the front and back, or ... leave it blank to see the cute page underneath!

The album has 20 pages that include 3 pockets, 3 fold-out pages, lots of flippies and interactive elements, and space for 50+ photos! That's plenty of room for all your fun December activities, like ...

... making holiday cookies, decorating a gingerbread house, or participating in a cookie swap! This would be a great page for those photos.  

I've also added some cute places to journal so you can add your children's wish list, a funny story, favorite holiday traditions, or the Christmas recipe you're most famous for!

Jar Shaped Halloween Mini Album with Doodlebug

Hey guys! Today, I’m sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project and this one was reeeeally fun! It's a jar shaped Halloween mini album that has a shaker on the cover filled with little rainbow sequins. So cute! It makes the perfect small scrapbook for photos of pumpkins, parties, costumes, and Halloween shenanigans.

I designed this with the Sweet & Spooky Collection and a cutting file called Happy Haunting, Jar of Eyes (links below). I tweaked the file just a bit to create the shaker & I'm loving the pretty colors of those sequins!!

To make it, I used my silhouette machine and cut out the album covers and pages. I glued a piece of Stardust acetate behind the front window and layered some foam tape and white paper to create space for the sequins to float around in. Then, I glued black chunky twine around the edge to hide the tape and tied a cute bow around the top.

Inside, I covered each of the white pages with a different 6x6 print. Then, time for the embellishments! On the first page above, I added the clip board for journaling, some candy icon stickers, and a few puffy stickers.

For more photo space, I made a haunted house flippie with white paper and a This & That sticker. Then I tucked an acetate tree in the back and added a few more puffy stickers. I love that these are shiny.

These pages would be great filled with pictures from school, a costume party, carving pumpkins, and "spooky" trick-or-treaters!

I like to mix up the shapes of my photo mats for interest. The one on this page was made with a 3.5” scalloped circle punch and a 3” circle punch (links below). It's cuter than a rectangle and it's the perfect spot for a family photo!

I love this little cluster of pumpkins. Different sizes, different colors, and even some shiny ones!

The Bits & Pieces make perfect journaling spots - add names, dates, events, locations, or notes. The flippie on the right has a funny saying but it's the 3 little trick-or-treaters just above it that I really love.

Helloooo Friday, I'm so excited you're here! It's perfect for saving yummy recipes and photos of family, friends, your kitchen, holiday meals, pretty desserts, baking with the littles, and all your cooking memories.

Family Recipes Scrapbook Instructions

I designed this with the Simple Stories, What's Cookin' Collection and a 6x8 inch binder in robin's egg blue. It's filled with lots of flowers, cooking utensils, food, an oven, vintage cookbooks, rolling pins, a teapot, cute houses and furniture, woodgrain, polka dots, plaids, and so much more!!

It has 26 pages that include 2 fold-out pages, 3 pockets, 4 cute flip-up cards (aka flippies), and space for 40+ photos. Above is one of the pockets - perfect for saving notes, recipes, labels, shopping lists, meal planning, or a few photos. I created a flippie on the front of the pocket so you can tuck more photos or recipes inside.

Oooo, I love these pages with the 1950's color palette of pastel pink and mint green. And notice the vintage flower print on the page on the left? So cute! I think a little bit of nostalgia in a recipe album is perfect.

Speaking of nostalgia ... how many of you have some time-worn, treasured, old family recipes? I do and I cherish the wonderful memories that are attached to them. This album can be used as part recipe album / part scrapbook for documenting some of your family's stories. Include photos, who the recipe came from, when was it created, and why it holds special meaning to you.

This is also a great way to keep your recipes organized. Save ones that were passed on to you, recipes torn from a magazine, hand-written cards, and any that you might have printed from the computer.

Do you know someone who loves to cook or bake, is about to get married, or is going off to college? This would make a fantastic gift idea filled with a few of your own recipes. What a sweet way to help them get organized, or start their new life off with some homemade goodness!

I love the idea of separating your recipes by season, holiday, family member, or meal category. This album has chipboard dividers with tabs so that you can customize it for your specific needs.

Halloween Shadow Box Bat Card Tutorial

Hi my sweet friends! Today, I'm sharing a tutorial on how to make this spooky little Shadow Box Bat Card that I created with a fantastic Lori Whitlock cutting file (links below). It makes the cutest card for Halloween! What a great way to let someone know you're thinking of them around the holiday.

To get started, I cut out all of the base pieces first and laid them out on my craft table.

Then I adhered the pattern paper to the base card, making sure to keep the design going the right direction. I learned this the hard way when I glued my hearts upside down. 😊

Next, I added the black bat pieces to the white card stock ...

I embellished the bat's eyes with some sparkly gold gems. Then, I added a cute spider icon sticker (from Doodlebug's Sweet & Spooky Collection) to the white spider space just below the bat's wing.

Once all of the pieces were adhered, I slipped the white page tabs into the base card slots and glued the black base on to create a box.

I love how Lori’s box cards can stand alone to be displayed on a shelf, desk, or a counter AND ... also fold flat for tucking into envelopes and mailing. So fun!

Trick or Treat Halloween Acrylic Mini Album

Hi guys! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project, which is also ... this week's NEW kit! It's an adorable Halloween mini album titled Trick or Treat and it might be one of my favorites!! I had so much fun creating it. It's perfect for photos of October, pumpkins, carnivals, parties, and Halloween night. 🎃

Trick or Treat Scrapbook Instructions

I designed this with the Doodlebug Sweet and Spooky Collection (links below) and I LOVE everything about it! The pastel colors are such a fun surprise for Halloween and the pink and lavender are amazing! The little Halloween characters are adorable too!

I created this with my Acrylic Tall 4.5" x 6.5" Album in black, but ... I replaced the front cover with a piece of Doodlebug's Stardust acetate. It's covered in tiny pastel stars and dots. I think it's fa-boo-lous! I also did this for my Snow Day Winter Mini Album.

Inside, there are 16 pages that include 2 pockets, 2 folding pages, and 4 flippies. Above is one of the folding pages and I'm loving the stripes with the candy jars! And that cute purple haunted house card is a flippie with space for 2 photos inside.

How cute are these ghosts with the bows on their heads?! Lol, I love them! I made this into a little square page with space on the back for a photo or journaling. And just behind that is a transparent page I made with more of that pretty star-filled acetate!

No Artsy Albums scrapbook would be complete without a pocket so, here's one of the two that are in this mini. I filled it with die cuts that are perfect for journaling, photos, or memorabilia.

These pages are perfect for photos of a visit to the pumpkin patch, making holiday treats, a school party or costume parade, a fall festival, a hayride or a corn maze, carving pumpkins, a haunted house, a costume party, your spooky decorated home, trick or treating, and all the candy that was collected!

I added some fun die cut shapes that extend off the edge of the pages. You can use these as tabs to flip the pages, for journaling (add dates, names, locations, or events), or ... use them for photos! 

I absolutely love the paper above with the candies, pumpkins, and stars. The pastel colors are beautiful and the little images are so FUN! Such a cute backdrop for those little trick or treaters.
