New! Beach Vibes Scrapbook Album Kit

Hello friends! Look what I made! It's a NEW mini album titled Beach Vibes that will be in my shop on Friday. This unique scrapbook is shaped like a cute sand castle and it's perfect for summer memories of sunshine, the beach, seashells, sand, and salty air! 🌞

I created the sand castle shaped album covers out of wood so, they're super sturdy and they're the color of sand. Then, I decorated the album with the fabulous PhotoPlay Beach Vibes Collection (links below).

It has 12 scrapbook pages (6 double-sided) that include 2 folding pages, 1 pocket, 3 flippies, and space for 30 of your amazing summer photos.

I grew up going to the shore every summer with family. Our vacations were all about the beach. Lazy mornings, hair in a ponytail, swimsuits and t-shirts, flip flops, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, sand between your toes, and the smell of coconut sunscreen in the air. Such simple but amazing memories.

If you have similar vacations, you need this album. It's great for photos of collecting sea shells, interesting sea life, building a sand castle, swimming, surfing, the beach, your friends, family, and beautiful sunsets.

Cow Birthday Card with Doodlebug Design

Happy Wednesday! Yesterday was National Cow Appreciation Day and it inspired me to create something udderly adorable. I'm a Doodle-pops collector (which is a much nicer way of saying hoarder, lol). I just love these 3D stickers so, I thought this was a great reason to use one and make a sweet little birthday card.

I started by using a Doodlebug card and envelope in ladybug, then added papers on the front from the Down on the Farm 6x6 paper pad. I used the little cow print, then a small strip of the red bandana paper, and finally the black and white buffalo check.

Time for embellishing ... the barn and the sun are mini icon stickers, the cow is a Doodle-pops called What's Moo (lol!) and the birthday banner is from the Chit Chat. I also added some of the cow print paper to the inside of my red envelope for a little extra cuteness!

Hello Sunshine Card Tutorial - Lori Whitlock July Blog Hop

Hey friends! Today is Lori Whitlock's July Blog Hop and my blog is the first stop on the hop. But be sure to visit Lori's site because she has a sale, a giveaway and an awesome freebie for you!

For my project today, I found a cutting file for one of Lori's adorable cards called Sunshine Get Well (link below). I loved this card so much but I wanted to change the sentiment from Get Well to Hello Sunshine and turn that cloud's frown upside down!

To do this: 1. Highlight the cloud shape, right click > Release compound path. 

2. Right click > Ungroup 

3. Highlight smile, right click > Flip Vertically 

4. Highlight the entire cloud, right click > Make compound path. 

For this card, I used white cardstock for the base. Then I added the cute 6x6 cloud paper called Barnyard from Echo Park’s Fun on the Farm collection (designed by Lori Whitlock).  

The sunshine (and it's pink cheeks!) were made of Doodlebug's 6x6 gingham and linen petite prints. And for the rainbow, I used Doodlebug's 6x6 inch dot and stripe petite prints.

The adorable yellow “Sunshine” paper in the background is from the Bella Blvd, You are my Sunshine collection. 

I love this card. I hope it inspires you to play with cutting files and if needed ... tweak them a bit to fit your needs.
