Witches and Kitties Halloween Layout with Doodlebug

Hey friends! It's time for my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project and this week, I created a cute 12x12 Halloween layout with the bright and cheerful Hey Pumpkin Collection. I'm a big fan of Halloween and Doodlebug, so today's scrapbook page was really fun for me. It's simple, colorful, and filled with lots of sweet smiling embellishments. Perfect for holiday photos! 🎃

I started with a sheet of beetle black cardstock as the base. Then, I layered the pink Boo-tiful Bouquet (8.5" x 11.5"), the colorful Hey Pumpkin stripe (7.75" x 11.25"), and lily white cardstock (7.5" x 11"). I adhered these towards the bottom of the page, leaving the black space at the top open for embellishments.

Next, I added the black and white scalloped This & That border sticker and the round October 31 Chit Chat die cut along the top. I filled the blank space in with more die cuts from the Odds & Ends, Bit & Pieces, and a few enamel stars from the October Sky shape sprinkles (links below). The cute little witch on her broom is my favorite. Love her sweet cat and the pumpkin filled with candy!

Once the top was decorated, I cut out three photo mats. The black mats are 3.25" x 4", the pink ones are 3" x 3.75", and your photos will be 2.75" x 3.5". Then, I tucked a cute little witch in behind the last mat and added the "Witches and kitties and ghosts, oh my" die cut from the Chit Chat.

I thought it would be fun to add a little dimension to the layout, so I weaved some beetle black Doodle twine around the mats to act as a web, then adhered a few small spiders to it. To complete the page, I added the fence, pumpkins, and ghost die cuts from the Bits & Pieces and they fit perfectly along the bottom.
