Happy holidays! Today I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project and this week, I made a sweet little heart shaped scrapbook titled Merry Christmas. I haven't created a project with this acrylic album in a while. I love it so much and today's project is super cute and colorful. It's perfect for your favorite holiday photos and would make an amazing Christmas gift for someone you love! ❤️
I designed this with the adorable Oh What Fun Collection and my clear Acrylic Heart Shaped Album (links below). It has 6 acrylic pages that are approx. 6 3/4" x 5 1/2", 1 binding ring, and endless possibilities!
And how cute is the cover?! I chose a cheerful green plaid for the background, then added some wrapped presents from the Odds & Ends. Next, I punched a 3.5" scalloped circle out of white card stock and layered the Santa circle die cut on top. Then for a little holiday sparkle, I added some glitter enamel dots to the gifts and the Merry Christmas banner.
Inside, I covered each acrylic page in a different 12x12 pattern paper, photo mats, and more adorable embellies. Above, is one of my favorite prints. I just love the pink color and the little gingerbread!
The wreath and the "Santa Season" are both die cuts from the Bits & Pieces. If you look closely at the wreath, you'll see a pink star on the bow ... it's from the Christmas Eve shape sprinkles. I also added some glitter enamel dots as ornaments. Beautiful!
I covered this page in the colorful tree pattern paper, then created a photo mat using a 3.5" scallop circle and 3" circle punch by Marvy Uchida (links below). The sweet little gingerbread is from the Bits & Pieces and the word bubble is from the Chit Chat.
I love the string lights on this page. I found 2 little red birds in the Odds & Ends that were perfect for holding up the lights. I added some shiny enamel shape sprinkles to the bulbs and now they're ready for the holiday!
No Christmas album would be complete without Santa and Mrs. Claus. To highlight them, I added the subtle polka dot paper in the background. Then, I added the cute couple from the Odds & Ends and a photo mat.
Doodlebug incorporated the fabulous bubble blue color into this collection and I am here for it! Just look how cute this print is with its little winter snowflakes. It's so beautiful next to the flowers, holly leaves, and berries.
Also, did you notice the shiny snowflakes above? They're die cuts from the Odds & Ends and I added enamel sprinkles from the Snow What Fun shape sprinkles on top. They glisten!
This mini album would be so wonderful filled with memories of your beautiful Christmas tree, fun with family and friends, a visit with Santa, a school holiday show, a church event, and Christmas day!
Or ... give it as a handmade gift. It's unique heart shape, sturdy construction, and archival products make this a perfect keepsake for December photos. Give it to ... a hostess, your mom, grandmother, sister, friend, your child's teacher, babysitter, a dog walker, your hairdresser, or co-worker.
If you'd like to recreate my Merry Christmas Heart Shaped Mini Album, either for your own photos or as a Christmas present ... I've added links to all the products below for easy shopping. Thanks for visiting the blog and have a wonderfully crafty day!
