2-Page Summer Layout with Page Maps & Doodlebug

Hi everyone! It's time for my next Doodlebug Design Team Project and today, I'm sharing a two cute summer scrapbook pages. Doodlebug teamed up with Becky Fleck and the PageMaps team this month and we are playing with some of the new July maps. Becky sent me a great 2-page layout with lots of photo spots ... perfect for summer pictures of my adorable nieces!

And here's my take on the design ...

I used Doodlebug's Sunkissed Collection which I love! To make these layouts, I started with the 12x12 textured card stock in sunshine yellow as my base then added  the Cherry Blossoms polka dot print on the left and right sides. Next, I adhered the blue Beach Towel print and the Pretty Petunias paper horizontally across the center.

 

I love, love, love the Fancy Frills border stickers so I added one at the top, across the middle, and at the bottom of these pretty pattern papers. Here's a tip: when you buy these, buy 2! They are 12 inch long stickers and if you buy 2 sets, you'll be able to create borders across both 12x12 pages like I did here!   

I added my photo mats, then it was time to embellish. I layered a mini paper doily in bumblebee, the "sweet summertime" card, and a tag and pocket. I finished it off with the beach ball icon sticker and a few word stickers from the This & That sheet. 

 

On this page, I layered a mini paper doily in limeade, a Cherry Blossoms Polaroid shaped mat, and the bicycle card from the Surf's Up paper. Next came the camera and flip flops icon stickers, the summer banner This & That sticker, and the super cute sun from the enamel shape sprinkles!
