Crayon Box Shaped Mini Album with Lori Whitlock

Hi friends! Today, I have a colorful new shaped mini album to share with you. I found a super cute card cutting file of Lori's called Box Card Back To School Crayons (SVG, Silhouette) and thought it would make a fun scrapbook for new school memories! Take a look ...

To make it, I used the card file to cut out 2 white acrylic album covers (5.25" x 6.75") in the shape of the box. You could also use cardstock for these instead. 

Then, I decorated the front cover with yellow and green paper and Doodlebug's 6x6 petite prints in gingham and linen for the crayons. How cute!

The Back To School title is a print and cut design that comes with the file. Perfect! And the enamel stars are sprinkles from Doodlebug's Hey Pumpkin Collection (all product links below).

For the inside, I cut 4 white cardstock pages (giving me 8 scrapbook layouts) and filled them with the Bella Blvd, School Is Cool Collection. I added 12x12 pattern papers, photo mats, and lots of fun embellishments.  

On this page, I created a cute shaped photo mat using a 3 inch scallop circle punch and a 2.5 inch circle punch. Then, I added some die cut pieces from the Ephemera Icons and Words.

I love adding interactive elements to my minis. Here I created a mega flippie using one of the 3x4 cards. 

See? It has a few layers with space inside for 4 photos, so ... it's a mega flippie! 😉

This album would be great filled with your child's or grandchild's "big memories". Add pictures of their first day, best friends, teacher, official school photo, classroom, and school bus. 

And don't forget the fun stuff like ... class parties, field trips, sports activities, awards, art projects, school plays, lunch time, their science fair project, and recess shenanigans!

The mini album looks so cute displayed on my clear Acrylic Display Stand. Set it out in your child's room, or ... add one to the teacher's gift so she can feature it in her classroom!

Family Home Explosion Box Scrapbook with Bella Blvd

Hi friends! It's time for my next Bella Blvd Design Team Project and today, I have a really fun explosion box filled with fun pages and cute little pockets. I created it with Bella's beautiful Love Grows Here Collection that has colorful little houses, pretty flowers, hearts, and bright happy colors. Visit my Instagram to see a video!

For those of you not familiar with explosion boxes, they're a creative way to save photos and memorabilia, or give a small gift. It consists of a box and a lid made of cardstock. This one measure 4x4 inches and when you lift the lid, the 4 sides unfold to display fun layered pages that are perfect for pictures and journaling.

To make it, I cut the base out of white cardstock and covered the outside with the pretty 12x12 Our Love Grows paper. I cut the row of hearts from the 12x12 Borders paper and adhered it around the bottom. For the edge of the lid, I layered the pink and the green scalloped border stickers from the Doohickey sheet, and an aqua scalloped ribbon from Mayarts. 

On the top, I layered the blue polka dot side of the Love Grows Here paper, a 4x4 card, and the cute pink Bella-pops house called Built on Love. Then, I added some pretty details with the Doohickey corner stickers and a few Love Grows epoxy flowers.

Now for the inside! All of the pages were made with a colorful mix of 12x12 pattern papers. In the center, I added the scalloped circle sticker from the Doohickey. I just love the saying and its tiny blue house. 

Each of the individual sides (or sections) has 4 layered pages. On the 1st page, I added a different house from the Ephemera Icons. Looks like a little neighborhood!

When you flip down that first page, there's a 2x2 inch card from the Daily Details on the back side. 

The 2nd page is a pocket. I made two with the pink heart paper called Meals and Memories (above) and two with the pretty floral called Grow With the Flow (seen below). 

I tucked white mats inside each one that could be used for photos, memorabilia, or journaling. But ... I had to zhuzh them up a bit with a cute epoxy 🩷 sticker. 

On the front of the pockets, I added die cuts from the Ephemera Icons and more epoxy stickers. Above, I used the potted plant and added teeny tiny dots to the center of its flowers.

I love the epoxy stickers. They just add a bit of color and shine to everything. Above, I added a sweet little Ciao Chip wreath with a pink bow and another epoxy dot. Can you tell I'm having fun with this collection? 😉

The 3rd page is a simple mat for pictures so I didn't add embellishments. The cute house paper called Memories Live Here and the aqua polka dot print called Grow Together are perfect as is.

The 4th page of each section is unique!  First, I added pretty papers and embellishments. Above, I used a colorful stripe and added the fabulous pink door die cut. So cute! I want a pink door in my home! And then ...

... I made it a fold out page with space inside for two photos! How fun is that?!

Bella's adorable Love Grows Here Collection made this explosion box so special. I love how bright and happy the colors are, and ... it has sooooo many cute patterns and embellishments. I hope this project inspires you!

OOAK Wander Travel Scrapbook Album

I designed this OOAK 5.5" x 7.5" scrapbook with a Prima Chipboard Tall Journal Album and the PhotoPlay, Travel Junque Collection (links below). It has muted earthy colors, nostalgic icons, and timeless travel motifs. 

The papers and stickers have an antique feel and include images of suitcases, maps, globes, compasses, tickets, travel stamps, airplanes, cameras, passports, and more! Perfect for highlighting your memories.

Inside, there are 12 scrapbook pages that include 2 fold-outs, 2 pockets, 3 flippies, and space for 25 photos. On the 1st page (above), I added a super flippie, lol! The globe card opens to the left with space inside for 2 pics, then flips UP to reveal another photo mat. And the polka dot mat equals space for 4 pictures in toto! 

If you love to journal about your adventures, I've added lots of space to do so. If not, you can simply add more photos to those spaces instead.

Here's one of the pocket pages. I tucked some tags inside that can be used for photos or journaling. But it's also a great space for saving postcards, brochures, tickets, an itinerary, matchbook covers, travel stickers, a small paper map, a business card from your favorite cafe, or some foreign currency.

This scrapbook has a wonderfully generic travel theme which means you could use it for photos of ANY vacation. Whether you fly around the world, drive across the state, sail a ship into uncharted waters, or backpack on foot ... this is the keepsake for you! 

A new season is just around the corner and I'm sure many of you have places to go and people to see. So, I hope you'll use this album to make documenting your fun experiences a little easier.

NEW! Our Family Memories Fall Scrapbook Album Kit

Hello crafty friends! It's time for my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project, AND ... this week's second NEW kit. I made a colorful acrylic mini album for fall titled Our Family Memories. This cute scrapbook will be in my shop tomorrow along with the 12x12 Summer Break Page Kit that I shared yesterday. Take a look ... 

I designed it with the cheerful Farmers Market Collection and one of my white 5" x 4.5" Acrylic Mini Albums. It's a great size and looks so cute displayed on my clear Acrylic Display Stand. These are available in my shop and they're perfect for showing off your seasonal and everyday mini albums.

On the cover, I layered some pretty papers, an acrylic square for a little dimension, and the 4x4 "our family memories" card on top. I love the colorful patterned trees. 

Inside, there are 24 scrapbook pages that include 4 fold-outs, 3 pockets, 1 flippie, and space for 32 photos. 

As summer fades and autumn begins, we'll see changes in the colorful landscape, feel cooler temperatures, and look forward to fun new activities ... like visiting a pumpkin patch with the kiddos or the grandkids!  

You can also add photos of fun family gatherings, time with close friends, visiting a winery, spending time in the kitchen, creating new recipes, and enjoying great food together.
