Explosion Box for a Birthday Boy

Hey guys! If you're like me and love to play with lots of embellishments then I have a really fun project for you. It's an explosion box and it makes the cutest gift!

The box is pretty awesome and it's so much fun to make. But it also makes a really unique presentation for a smaller present that can be tucked in the middle of the box like candy, jewelry, money, a small toy or a gift card.

 

Once you remove the lid, the box folds open to reveal lots of layers and cute embellishments. You can personalize it even more by adding photos to some of the blank pages. What a great little keepsake!

 

 

For the outside of the box, I added pattern paper and stickers from the adorable Dragon Tails collection.

 

 

The Odds & Ends were perfect for these pages ... just the right size!

 

Is that little dragon clip not the cutest?  He's hanging out on the edge of a treat bag that I cut down and re-glued to fit my small page. 

 

 

What would a mini album be without a few adorable boutique buttons?

 

 

And sprinkles!!  My all-time favorite embellishment ... especially the glitter ones :)

 

I finished up the box by hanging some mini garland around the lid. I designed this with lots of goodies from the Doodlebug Design, Puppy Love Collection. Oh, these papers and embellishments are adorable!!

The kit comes with white chipboard covers, binding rings, lots of amazing embellishments, precut card stock and pattern paper, ribbon, twine, and the simple step-by-step instructions.

The album has 10 scrapbook pages (5 double-sided) that include 2 pockets, 2 fold-outs, 3 flippies, and space for at least 25 photos. 

Above is one of the fold-out pages. I love the dog on the front of the flap and the little enamel dot on his collar. 

This album would make a great gift for any pet parent, or ... a perfect place to save all of your own furbaby's photos.

The album is made with acid-free, archival, photo-safe paper and embellishments so your sweet dogs pictures are super safe.

Our Wedding Day Scrapbook with Simple Stories

Hi guys! It's been a few years since my son and daughter-in-law got married but, a small gift album has been on my to do list for a while. I wanted a 4x6 album with some of our favorite photos from the big day, and I knew the Always and Forever collection would be perfect for this project.

I kept the album simple and used clear stickers on photos and pocket cards.

The die cuts, chipboard stickers, and element cards helped make the album fun, and added space for journaling that I wanted to record.

I especially love the page above.  Although you can't tell in the photo, I wish you could see the pretty gold foil on the die cuts!

Farm Memories Scrapbook Album #2, Doodlebug

Hey guys! I'm having so much fun creating with Doodlebug's Down on the Farm Collection that one mini album just wasn't enough. So, I made another that's a bit different. The first one was a barn shaped scrapbook which you can see here. For this new one, I used a 6x6 chipboard album and created a cute little farm scene on the cover.

I used the 6x6 Down on the Farm paper pad (except for the 12x12 red bandana paper on the cover).  The "Farm" title piece is from the Chit Chat, and then I added rub-on letters for the 'memories'.

The sweet little cow and sheep are from the icon stickers. They're so cute!

Is that jelly clip not the cutest thing ever?! I used two of them in this album ... one for each pocket.

I love all Doodlebug sprinkles but those little chicks are just precious. My favs!
