A Summer Mini Album Kit with Fancy Pants Designs

Despite the cold day here in Georgia, it's all about flip flops, sunshine, and tropical fun here in my studio today!  I just put the final touches on a super cute mini album so I'm sharing a few fun tips and pictures of the kit.

This neat little Summer mini is a 6x12 chipboard album, with 12 pages (6 front and back).  It has an acrylic cover so that some elements can be seen through the cover, and others are layered on top.

This is the first page, once you lift up the acrylic cover -- there is space for 2 photos, or a picture and some journaling about your summer, a beach trip, or other sunny details.

This collection from Fancy Pants Designs is called "Down by the Shore" -- I love the little anchors!
Each kit includes a fun envelope (color may vary) for hiding additional photos, memorabilia, or journaling.  This page also has a cute little pull-out tag.

What would summer be without flip-flops?  Thanks to this adorable die cut by LifeStyle Crafts, your mini gets a cute pair of flops adorned with paper flowers and gems!

Although the title says "Summer 2013", your kit comes with letters A-Z and numbers 0-9...so you can change the title or the year if you want to!

Quantities are limited...to purchase visit Artsy Albums.

Sneak Peek: Summer Kit

Hello Artsy friends!

It's Saturday afternoon and I am sooooo excited!  I have just been finishing up a Summer/Travel/KindaBeachy kit today and you are going to love love love it because Fancy Pants Designs recently released THE cutest collection of paper and embellies called "Down By the Shore" and it's ADORABLE!  (I am pretty sure that was a horrible run-on sentence and I should go back and edit it...but you get the point right?....cuteness....enough said).

The last finishing touches will go on the kit tomorrow and I will add it to the shop, blog and Facebook,  as soon as it's photo worthy, but I did want to give you a tiny sneak peek this evening because I know a few of my Artsy kit lovers have been asking about this one :)

Disclaimer -- I realize this is a bad pic -- nothing is glued down so things look a little wonky, plus there are a few pieces missing from the final version....but at least you will get the idea :)

Stay tuned ladies....

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Mini Album Kit

I am quite the busy bee this week since most the brand new CHA product has arrived :)  Yesterday I posted a fun boy themed album kit for you...today, it's all about pink and orange, and butterflies, and cute scallops!

Here are a few pics of the mini I completed today -- this will be a limited edition kit until I can get more product in.  The album is a custom die-cut cascading scallop album with 6 chipboard pages.  The paper is from My Mind's Eye and the colors make me think of popsicles :)

What do these colors remind you of?

Inspiration with Echo Park...and a New Kit!

Good Sunday afternoon Artsy friends!

I hope you are all having as wonderful a weekend as I am having!

Mine started out yesterday hosting a scrapbooking day with 4 of my super fun scrappy friends.  We played with paper and glue all day long, ate too much popcorn and guacamole, had a "few" sips of wine, and laughed until way past my bedtime.  Always a wonderful way to spend a day... and we got a lot of scrapbooking done too!

Since I rarely scrapbook my own photos, and am usually working on Artsy Albums Kits, I thought I would share a layout that I actually completed for my family album -- shocking!

This layout is about my beautiful niece and her high school graduation.  The paper line is by Echo Park called "All About A Boy" -- obviously, this layout is NOT about a boy :) so I want you to be inspired, as I was, to use paper collections that might be "themed" for one thing...for something else entirely!  Don't skip over a certain collection at your LSS because of a "theme"... look closely and envision what else you could do with those fun papers and embellies!

Now, with that said, this new collection by Echo Park is super cute and does have a ton of fun "boy-cuteness" going on, so I had to create a new kit :)

The latest Artsy Albums Kit is not really all that mini this time either.  This chipboard album is 8x8 and includes 16 fun pages for lots of guy memories -- 8 full scrapbook pages, 8 pocket pages for tucking in a frog or two, and 4 fold-out inserts for additional photos and journaling.

Here are a couple pics...let me know what you think!

Visit the Artsy Albums shop today to purchase "The Story of A Boy" and as always, thanks for stopping by!

Up, Up and Away Frosted Designs Challenge!

Good Friday morning friends!

It's time for another challenge over at Frosted Designs!  and this one is SO FUN!

"Up, Up, and Away" ... it could be birds, airplanes, kites....etc.   I had fun creating my layout with photos of the kids flying through the air on their lake tube last summer.  Scares me to death every time they yell "faster!" and my dad (who is always driving the boat) turns around with a big sneaky grin....he is all about his grandkids having fun!

Fun pictures....fun layout....fun challenge! So head over to Frosted Designs and link your "Up, Up and Away" project!  There's a great prize to be had....but you can't win if you don't play!

It's All About Me ... From A - Z

Do you ever scrap about yourself?  Are you ever even in the pictures? or are you the one who's always behind the camera?

Often times, scrapbookers get so involved in documenting the lives of our kids, and our families, that we forget that someone, someday, might want to know who WE were in 2013!  I might even want to look back and see who I was in 2013 :)  So, check this out...

It's all about you (or your daughter, or friend, or anyone!) -- each page is for a photo and
journaling about something that starts with that letter of the alphabet that makes you who you are.

What do you like? What do you do? Favorites? Friends names? Family names?

For example, my album goes like this:
A -- Artsy Albums :)
B -- Beach
C -- Chocolate
D -- Dining out
E -- Evening walks
F -- Family
G -- Georgia
etc.

14 6x8 scrapbook pages + 12 6x8 pockets, each one corresponds to a letter of the alphabet for a total of 26 pages)

Your kit will even come with some idea prompts to get your A-Z creative juices flowing!

This Artsy Albums Kit includes all of the product needed to make this mini album (except tools and adhesive), in addition to step-by-step instructions with color photos of each page. All of the products used in my kits are current or recent release scrapbook supplies by the most popular manufacturers, and always acid and lignin free so these little keepsakes are safe for your photos!

The kits are pre-cut and packaged by page -- so easy and so fun!

The All About Me mini album kit listed here includes the following:
6x8 album with 24 heavy card stock pages (12 front & back) and two chipboard covers
3 binding rings
Pre-cut pattern paper by My Mind's Eye
Embellishment stickers by My Mind's Eye
Chipboard stickers by My Mind's Eye
22 journaling cards
24 tabs
Bazzill Flower
Brads
Ribbon
Full color instructions with photos of each page

Not included in the kit:
Tools
Adhesive

Tools you will need to complete this kit:
Paper trimmer and/or scissors (for minor cutting; most paper does come pre-cut for you)
1/4" hole-punch
Adhesive
Pop Dots or dimensional adhesive

Not a scrapbooker?
Let me know and I will create one for you -- all ready for you to add your pictures!

Chevron Challenge at Frosted Designs!

Hello friends!

It's challenge time over at Frosted Designs and I'm excited to share my first design team creation with you!

Chevron patterns are all the rage right now -- in decor, fashion, advertising...and of course, crafting!  So, the current challenge over at Frosted Designs is to use chevrons in a project!

Head over to Frosted Designs and check out the other design team projects...and while you are there, add your own chevron project to the site!  You could win a fun prize and get tons of great inspiration for your next project!

Here's a page I did using chevrons -- these are my beautiful nieces :)  I just love these girls!

To make this fun chevron pattern, I cut zig zag strips of paper with my electronic cutting machine and then layered some on top of others using pop dots.

And how cute are the brand new papers and embellies from My Mind's Eye (Notable)??  Love these colors and I can never get enough chipboard, glazed brads, and journaling notecards!

Stay tuned, I'm going to use this line in an upcoming mini album kit too!!

Have an awesome crafty day!!
