Telephone Shaped Mini Scrapbook Album

Hey guys! Today, I'm sharing my latest Lori Whitlock Design Team project. It's a cute little telephone shaped scrapbook made with Lori's new cutting file called Hidden Binding Mini Album Telephone (link below). This Thursday (April 25th) is National Telephone Day, so ... I thought this would be a fun project to make.

I started by using Bazzill card stock in whirlpool for the base, then added some pattern papers from Echo Park's Our Baby Girl and Boy Collections. I used the generic prints from both so this album could be given to anyone. On the cover, I added a few stickers and a title next to the old fashion rotary dial. So cute!

This album uses a hidden binding technique to secure the pages and it allows enough room in between for pop dots and embellishments. It lays perfectly flat when closed. You can watch the assembly tutorial for it over on Lori's YouTube Channel here.

There are 5 double-sided pages, including the front cover. I layered each one with a different patterned paper and some cute circular photo mats. I used a 3" scalloped circle punch and a 2.5" circle punch for those.

I added a journaling card and some stickers on this page, but the next one is my favorite ...

Isn't she pretty? I love the soft feminine colors and the flowers paired with this fun, nostalgic shape.

This mini album would make a great gift idea for Mother's Day or a birthday. Lori has other hidden binding mini album shapes too, like ... a flower, mason jar, camera, bee, house, butterfly, and more! Be sure to check them out in her shop.

OOAK You Make Me Smile Scrapbook Album

Hey guys, good news!! Today, I'm sharing a new one-of-a-kind album that will be added to the shop this Friday along with a brand new kit! This pre-made mini is titled You Make Me Smile and it's a wonderful little scrapbook for some of your favorite photos. It would also make a sweet gift for someone who makes you smile, and ... Mother's Day is just around the corner!

I created this with one of my clear Acrylic Scallop Edge Albums and the colorful American Crafts Main Character Energy Collection by Shimelle Laine. This line celebrates the small beauties of life, a person's strengths, and embraces imperfection. It's filled with sayings and words that encourage you to love yourself and the skin you're in.

On the cover, there are stars, flowers, butterflies, and gold foil accents. They are hard to see in the photos but the gold touches add a nice little shimmer.

Inside, there are 12 pages that include 2 fold-outs, 1 pocket, 2 fun flippies, and space for over 20+ photos.

This scrapbook is pretty generic with a happy-go-lucky feeling, so ... it can be used for almost any photos. It's full of self-love and ready for YOU (or someone you love) to take center stage!

I love this pink print filled with colorful butterflies and the sweet saying on the yellow flippie.

If you look closely, you can see I added some gold glitter enamel dot stickers to these cute tags and flowers. I mean ... what girl doesn't love a little gold sparkle?!

3 NEW 12x12 Scrapbook Page Layout Kits

Happy Friday everyone! Today, I've added 3 NEW projects to the shop and each one is a unique 12x12 four page layout kit. These kits take the guesswork out of creating your scrapbook pages. I take care of the supplies, the measuring, the cutting, and the design to help you save your memories quickly and easily. And ... you can add your own touches and creativity to any of my designs!

First up, is my 12x12 layout kit titled "A Story To Tell" ...

I designed these 4 layouts with the Echo Park, Telling Our Story Collection and some solid paper from Bazzill.

These pages include 5 flippies and space for 27 photos. They're perfect for saving photos of just about anything like family, friends, spring, summer, graduation, Mother's Day, birthdays, or everyday moments.

I used this same Echo Park collection in my 6x8 inch Snapshots of Our Life Album and it was super popular. So, I decided to bring it back for my 12x12 scrappers!

I just love all the pretty pastel colors, flowers, cameras, stamps, plaids, polka dots, and more!

 Next up is my "Cute As A Bug" 12x12 Layout Kit ...

I designed these four layouts with the Echo Park, Little Ladybug Collection and some solid card stock from Bazzill. Oh my goodness, these are so stinkin' cute.

The strawberries, the ladybugs, and the flowers! Love, love, love ... and look at those adorable daisies!!

These layouts have 2 flippies, 1 pocket, and space for 20 pictures of your littles, everyday, spring, strawberry picking, a family vacation, fun in the backyard, Mother's Day, brunch with friends, birthdays, and all the moments in between.

Last one, is my 12x12 In Loving Memory 4-Page Layout Kit ...

I designed these layouts with the PhotoPlay, In Loving Memory Collection designed by Becky Moore. These pages are a beautiful way to remember your loved ones who have passed.

These pages include 1 flippie and space for 17 photos. You could document your favorite memories of one person on all 4 pages, or ... dedicate each page to someone different. 

Check out the gorgeous butterflies, flowers, foliage, and ornamental filigree patterns. There are also lots of thoughtful sentiments.

Spring Snow Globe Mini Album Tutorial

Hello everyone! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project. It's a new shaker mini album I created with the DIY Snow Globe Kit and the beautiful Hello Again Collection. I'm a mini album girl and can usually find a way to turn anything into a little scrapbook and fill it with photos. Any size, any shape, any theme - I got you! So, when I saw the adorable Snow Globe Kit my brain immediately thought of this ...

It's a snow globe shaped holder with a round, removable mini album inside! Oh, how I love Doodlebug. They have so many cute supplies that inspire fun projects. 

And speaking of fun ... I started by decorating the outside of the snow globe. I used flowers from the Bits & Pieces, some gold enamel heart sprinkles, the 6x6 aqua Forever Flowers print, and the gold title sticker from the This & That sheet.

I designed the album's cover to be a shaker and filled it with the cutest little Spring Flowers from the Bunny Hop Collection. The colors of those flowers are so pretty! 

The album's pages were created in an accordion style, so ... there are no rings or binding clips that would prevent it from fitting inside the snow globe.

I love the Hello Again Collection and thought it was perfect for this spring mini. I used the 12x12 Pink Poppies print on the rim and inside the shaker, the 12x12 Spot of Spring (Bunny Hop Collection) and the Green Thumb paper. Then embellished with some mini icon stickers and two little trees from the puffy shapes.

Let's take a quick look inside the mini, then I'll walk you through the steps of how I made this project.

I covered all the white card stock pages with 12x12 pattern papers, except for the one pink page above where I used a 6x6 sheet of the Pink Poppies. I also added the cute vase of flowers from the icon stickers.

To make the photo mats, I used a 3" scallop circle punch and a 2.5" circle punch. On this page, I chose the pretty Patchwork Plaid for the mat and added a butterfly icon sticker.

This cute little rainbow icon sticker has a pretty gold foil scalloped edge that I just adore, but ... it also mimics the scallops and the shape of my photo mat! 

Time for the tutorial ...

1. Using my Silhouette Cameo 5 machine and card stock, I cut out the following:

• 1 pattern ring (4.25”)
• 6 white rings (4.25”)
  
• 10 white circles (4.25”)
• 10 pattern circles (4”)

2. I stacked and glued the 6 white rings together to provide dimension for the shakers. Then, I glued a 4.25” acetate circle (that I cut out by hand) to one side.  

3. I added .25” foam squares around the edge of the paper side of the rings and set that aside.

4. For the pages, I adhered the pattern circles to the white circles. I laid 5 of them out side-by-side, glued a long piece of ribbon across them, and glued the remaining 5 circle sets on top (white circles facing in & sandwiching the ribbon). Trim off the excess ribbon on either end.

5. On the front side of the first page, I created the scene with mini icon stickers. I sprinkled on some cute spring flower shakers and adhered the acetate frame (from step 3) on top to create the cover.  

Slip the cute mini inside the Snow Globe, replace the backing that comes with it, and voila!! My spring album project is done. I can't wait to add some spring photos to this little album.
